Gloria J. Sztukowski

As part of boxing history, Gloria Sztukowski has been the first woman in Western Pennsylvania
to open many doors to the "sweet science". Over 14 years ago Gloria's studies in the art of
boxing began in learning the boxer's workout with goals in mind of teaching and adapting the
boxer's workout in water.

A forerunner in boxing, Gloria is recognized as the first woman in Western Pennsylvania
to do the following in the sport of amateur boxing:

1st woman Chief of Officials-USA Boxing Allegheny Mountain
1st woman Chief of Officials-Pennsylvania Golden Gloves
1st woman Western Pennsylvania Amateur Boxing Referee
1st woman Western Pennsylvania to officiate-USA JR. Olympics
1st woman Western Pennsylvania to officiate-National Golden Gloves
1st pioneer for the women of USA Boxing Allegheny Mountain
1st woman from Western Pennsylvania to attend the Olympic Training Center
to study USA Boxing Rules and Regulation and to become certified as
a trainer of Officials and Coaches:

Scored # 1 for certification in USA--has mentored, trained and certified hundreds
of boxing enthusiasts in the sport of amateur boxing--pioneer for women of the
USA Boxing Allegheny Mountain Association.

1st woman representative from Western Pennsylvania to the USA Boxing National
Championships as Official-Judge-Referee- and has represented Western Pennsylvania
at numerous local, regional and national boxing tournaments.

1st female from Western Pennsylvania to be Chief of Officials for the USA Boxing
Allegheny Mountain Association.

1st female from Western Pennsylvania to be Chief of Officials for the Western
Pennsylvania Golden Gloves.

1st female from Western Pennsylvania to be the USA Boxing Registration Chair.

Member of the Board of Director for the Western Pennsylvania Police Athletic League
(WPAL) also serves in (WPAL) as Secretary/Treasurer.

Gloria has been instrumental in opening 5 Police Athletic Gyms to include assisting
in construction, logistics and management. Interaction with thousands of immeasurable
youth in the communities.

Directly involved in coordination of the Pennsylvania Golden Gloves tournament
for the last 10 years.

Coordination and promotion of 100's of boxing shows and thousands of bouts.
Exemplifies the "Safety of the Boxer" and the Integrity of Boxing-promotes champions
both inside and outside the ring.
